Derek Chisora reveals Deontay Wilder wish after defeating Kubrat PulevDAZN

Derek Chisora has issued a challenge to Deontay Wilder after defeating Kubrat Pulev.

Chisora claimed his first win in three years in a bruising encounter with Pulev, and he squeezed home by the narrowest of margins via split decision. Now Chisora is aiming high, which involves a fight against the former WBC champion.

Wilder has not fought since losing to Tyson Fury last October, and there was speculation in the aftermath that he may never fight again.

Earlier this year, Wilder made it clear that his fighting days were not over, but his next move is still unconfirmed. Would a fight with Chisora appeal to him?

“I told Eddie the other day that if he can get me ‘The Bronze Bomber,’ then I’d be happy,” said Chisora when speaking to DAZN in his post-fight interview. “I’m happy, but at the same time, I’m sad. I don’t have many left in me. I’m on my way out, so I don’t want no easy fights.

“I want to fight everybody from my era. Win or lose, I just want to fight. I needed a win. I’ve lost so many fights on the road. I needed a win, and what a great way to win it. I’m buzzing right now. It feels great to be a winner.”
