Former undisputed super lightweight champion Josh Taylor has made his prediction for a huge fight stateside at 140lbs.
Taylor has a major fight of his own to prepare for at super lightweight when faces Jack Catterall in an eagerly anticipated rematch on April 27 live on DAZN.
A win over Catterall is likely to put Taylor in contention for some major fights at the weight, and a possible opponent could be the winner of Devin Haney's WBC super lightweight defence against Ryan Garcia on April 20.
Speaking during the media tour for his rematch with Catterall, Taylor made his prediction for the contest.
"I think they are two good fighters," Taylor told Boxing News.
"Garcia has the hand speed, not the best boxing IQ, but fast, he’s got good timing with that left hook, he’s quick.
"I just think that Devin Haney has got the better boxing skills, he can move, defend, and go on the offence as well. He’s very clear, his vision is great. He’s very good at reading his opponent and reading the fight.
"I’m going to go with Devin Haney on this one."
