The pair both fought and won at the weekend.

Gervonta Davis and Vasiliy Lomachenko both impressed in their wins over Marrio Barrios and Masayoshi Nakatani, respectively, this Saturday, and the DAZN Boxing Show considered which of the two had enjoyed the better weekend.

Lomachenko was coming back from the disappointment of losing four belts to Teofimo Lopez late last year when he took on Nakatani. Meanwhile ‘Tank’ Davis had moved up to 140lbs to take Barrios’ undefeated record and WBA interim championship.

Considering who had seen their stock rise the most, Barak said: “It's hard to say. But if I had to just pick one, I would have to say Gervonta Davis. And that's because there were no questions to be asked really, there were no real questions to ask about Lomachenko - he lost the Teofimo Lopez, who's already showed that he was special, and he lost a close fight.

“So we didn't think that Nakatani was going to come in and beat Lomachenko. But when it comes to Gervonta Davis, yes, most people thought he was going to win. But there were still questions because of his height. And because he went up two weight classes.

“The questions were can he take Barrios' power and will his power translate the same at 140 pounds? And he answered all those questions. So therefore I say his stock went up more, but I do think that Lomachenko really, really made a statement because he stopped the guy that Teofimo didn't stop.”
