Diego Pacheco enhanced his reputation as one of the best prospects in world boxing as he destroyed a brave Jack Cullen in four rounds in Liverpool.
Pacheco arrived in England earlier this week promising to deliver a show and he made good on his word as he was simply too good for his outgunned opponent.
Using the first round to take a look at Cullen, Pacheco exploded into life in the second session as he hurt Cullen with a superb right hand.
The onslaught continued throughout the following rounds as the Los Angeles based fighter had it all his own way toying with the oncoming Cullen before occasionally landing spiteful attacks.
In the fourth stanza, Pacheco started the round with hurtful intent and after dropping Cullen early in the session with a well-timed body shot, the end appeared to be near.
Cullen displayed admirable resilience to beat the count, but a huge right cross robbed Cullen of his senses and that forced the referee to step in.
Pacheco will face much sterner tests than this, but he’ll be satisfied with his British debut, and he’ll be confident of repeating this form at the sport’s highest level.
