Dillian Whyte was highly critical of heavyweight rivals Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder in a recent interview, accusing both fighters of avoiding fights they think they may lose.
Whyte has only been defeated by two fighters so far as a pro: WBA, WBO and IBF champion Anthony Joshua and former world champ Alexander Povetkin. He also recently avenged the latter in a four-round slugfest in Gibraltar.
In order to prove himself as world championship material, Whyte needs to take on the likes of Wilder and Fury next, as well as perhaps a future rematch with 'AJ'.
Whyte told Sky Sports, however, that the current WBC titleholder and the man he dethroned last February each have no interest in a risky fight such as one vs. 'The Bodysnatcher'.
"Fury and Wilder get too much credit for their padded, cherry-picked records and have only beaten one current Ring Magazine top 10 fighter each," said Whyte.
"I've beaten three. Fury calls himself the greatest of all time, yet has turned down fights against me, even when ordered by the WBC. The guy's a joker. He fought Wilder and beat Wilder, but I've been trying to fight Wilder for a long time.
"If I had fought Wilder, I'd have beaten Wilder before Fury. If I'd have beaten Wilder, I'd be undisputed WBC champion by now. As things stand there are two WBC world heavyweight champions. We have exactly the same belt. How can Fury fight to be undisputed when he is not even the undisputed WBC champion?"
Wilder, who was caught out in his post-Fury defeat rants on social media when admitting that he had swerved a potential fight with Joshua to take on Fury, also opted not to face Whyte when he was next in line to the WBC belt the American held at the time.
"Because he's a coward," said Whyte on the matter. "He was thinking, 'Fury has been off for three years, if I catch him now.' That was his best chance of beating him and it backfired, because he's a coward."
Nonetheless, Whyte vs. Wilder has been discussed as a big fight for later in 2021, while Fury and Joshua seemingly gear up for a pair of megafights against one another.
