Dillian Whyte ended nearly 18 months of inactivity when he forced Christian Hammer to remain on his stool after three rounds on March 17.
Whyte last fought in November 2022 when he outpointed Jermaine Franklin, and he was hoping for more ring time against Hammer which has led to him labelling the German fighter a ‘coward.’
Last year, Whyte’s world was turned upside down when an adverse finding was discovered in his drug test before he was due to face Anthony Joshua in a rematch.
That fight was eventually postponed but Whyte finally returned to action under an Irish licence earlier this month and he wasn't impressed with his opponent.
“He was negative all through,” said Whyte when speaking to BoxingScene after the fight.
“As soon as I hit him, he was negative. I told him afterwards he was a coward and I mean that.”
