Dillian Whyte wants WBC title fight with Deontay Wilder if Tyson Fury has to withdraw - reportsDAZN
The interim champion reportedly wants the chance to finally step up.

Dillian Whyte is reportedly ready to fight Deontay Wilder should Tyson Fury pull out.

Current WBC champion Fury is due to fight Wilder in a trilogy rematch that had originally been set for July. However the fight should now takeplace on October 9 after Fury and many in his camp contracted coronavirus.

Since the latest postponement to Fury’s return to action, his recently born daughter Athena has required intensive hospital care, which may mean the 33-year-old fighter cannot take part in a fight.

The Sun reports that Whyte, the WBC interim champion after avenging last year’s defeat to Alexander Povetkin in a rematch, wants to be given the nod to fight for the title if Fury pulls out, with a view to then defending his championship against Fury when and if he is ready to return to the ring.
