Dmitry Bivol is extremely confident of securing victory if an undisputed battle at 175lbs with Artur Beterbiev takes place.
Bivol made another successful defence of his WBA crown this weekend when dominating the previously unbeaten Gilberto Ramirez. The attention has now switched to what direction Bivol will head in next.
Earlier this year, Bivol achieved the almost impossible as he managed to produce a brilliant performance to defeat Canelo Alvarez.
Speculation about a rematch has been consistent since the original contest ended, but Beterbiev is a serious option for Bivol, and he had his say on that potential meeting shortly after the Ramirez win.
“I believe in my skills. I could beat him, why not?” said Bivol when speaking at the post fight press conference regarding Beterbiev.
“I could lose. It depends on my preparation. It depends on my mental [state]. I could have lost to Ramirez too. I tried to do everything right in my camp, and I tried to believe in myself.”
