Dmitry Bivol reveals plans for 2023 with world champions in the frameDAZN

Dmitry Bivol is hoping for an undisputed fight after celebrating his latest success.

The WBA light heavyweight champion defeated Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez in May to prove himself as a pound-for-pound contender, and followed it up on Saturday night with a comprehensive victory over Gilberto ‘Zurdo’ Ramirez in Abu Dhabi.

Bivol could consider him one of the most in demand fighters, with Canelo said to be chasing a 2023 rematch, and Artur Beterbiev may want a chance to take on his biggest rival at 175lbs while also becoming undisputed.

"I proved myself. I can beat the best guy in the world [in Canelo]. And now, I beat another guy who doesn't know what losing is. I have another goal, I want to be undisputed champion. But everything is not up to me. It doesn't depend only on me who I fight next. We have to agree as a team on which is better for us. But I hope they will listen to me and what I want," Bivol said after the fight.

Beterbiev’s next clash is against Anthony Yarde in a mandatory fight, so there is no quick follow-up for Bivol if he wants either Canelo or his fellow champion, but Bivol is ready to find someone if needed.

"I want to go to this dream. My heart wants it but my brain and my mind understand how things are going. I want to fight for another belt. If I don't have this chance in four or five months, I will take another fight," Bivol added.
