After conquering Canelo Alvarez in May, WBA (super) light-heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol is looking ahead to another career-defining fight.
With the Mexican set to face Gennadiy Golovkin in a much-anticipated trilogy fight later this year, the next logical step for Bivol would be to face the winner of Artur Beterbiev and Joe Smith Jr.'s WBC, IBF, and WBO unification clash in an undisputed title fight.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Bivol's promoter Andrey Ryabinskiy believes a potential fight between Bivol and Beterbiev would be a massive event for the fans.
"We like both of these fighters [Beterbiev and Smith] very much," Ryabinskiy said. "Bivol would be extremely interested in having a fight against the winner of this bout, especially if the winner is Artur Beterbiev.
"The fight between Bivol-Beterbiev is a long-awaited dream of all boxing fans."
