Does Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano need three minute rounds? 'Let’s do it, let’s change the game forever starting with this fight'DAZN
The Fight Disciples debated whether Katie Taylor's clash with Amanda Serrano needs to be contested over 10 three-minute rounds.

Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano are already making history when they meet on April 30th exclusively live on DAZN for the undisputed women's lightweight title.

They will become the first women to ever headline a boxing show at the historic Madison Square Garden, but could they go one step further when it comes to changing the game in women's boxing?

The Fight Disciples, Adam Catterall and Nick Peet, certainly think so, putting forward the case that both women should fight over 10, three minute rounds.

"Please Eddie, New York State Athletic Comission, Jake Paul, everybody associated with the fight, let’s change the game, three-minute rounds please," Peet pleaded on the latest instalment of JABS

"If that fight becomes 10, three minute rounds, then we’ve cracked it. Women’s boxing is on parity with the men, it gets the showcase it deserves and I tell you what, what a fight it would be.

"Incidentally, Serrano has fought in three minute rounds before in New York State as well at the Barclays Center a few years ago so it can be done.

"Let’s do it, let’s change the game forever starting with this fight."

Taylor and Serrano met face-to-face for the first time since the announcement at a press conference in New York on Wednesday which was also attended by Matchroom's Eddie Hearn and YouTube star turned boxing promoter Jake Paul.
