Anthony Joshua would be wise to avoid a fight with Zhilei Zhang, according to Ebanie Bridges.
The IBF female bantamweight champion watched Zhang's recent victory over Joe Joyce and deduced that Joshua would run into problems if he were to face the hard-hitting Chinese fighter in a future bout.
“With the power he’s (Zhang) got and Joshua’s chin, that could be a recipe for trouble for AJ," Bridge told safebettingsites.com. "I do think Joshua’s a bit more skilled, not as raw as Joe Joyce, but he’s also not as tough.
"Joe Joyce has the chin and can maybe absorb things that Joshua can’t.”
To that end, Bridges disagreed with recent comments by Frank Warren in which the promoter suggested Joyce could retire after losing the Zhang in back-to-back fights.
“I disagree with him," she said of Warren. "It’s so weird that he said that.
"[Joyce] hasn’t even had that many pro fights, he turned pro quite late so he’s still raw. I mean, he got knocked out by Zhang. That guy’s huge.
"It’s like a fighter has a loss and is like, ‘oh, you better retire’. No. You just get back in there and you build it back up and whatever, you know, maybe that guy’s just not your match.”
