Eddie Hearn admits that he found it tough to watch Richardson Hitchins defeat Liam Paro with both men part of his Matchroom stable, but that "the better man" won on the night.
American Hitchins scored a split decision victory over Australian Paro to take the latter's IBF light-welterweight title and become world champion for the first time.

A close encounter in the early rounds gradually gave way to the former throughout, and there appeared to be surprise over the judges' call at the conclusion of the bout.
But Hearn, who promotes both fighters, feels the right victor was triumphant on the night, even though he was torn between them both in San Juan on Saturday.
"It's difficult," he told FightHype. "I hate having two guys in a fight because I love to get up and scream and shout. I love Liam, I think he's such a lovely bloke.
"But what Richardson's done, he changed his life tonight. Liam did everything and showed a lot of heart, but he was beaten by the better man.
"Now [there is] a huge future ahead for a young American fighter that becomes world champion. From the fifth, I gave Hitchins every round."
Hitchins is already taking aim at a potential bout with fellow American Teofimo Lopez, who currently holds the WBO title in the light-welterweight division.
The latter last fought in June when he defeated Steve Claggett by unanimous decision in Miami Beach, Florida, to make another successful defence of his title.
