Dalton Smith is aiming to become the next big fighter from Sheffield to become a big star and he can take one step closer this weekend.
Smith will welcome the vastly experienced Jose Zepeda to Sheffield and victory over the Amercian can send out a statement to the rest of the 140lbs division.
Smith follows numerous Sheffield boxers who have made an impact in that area such as Naseem Hamed and Kell Brook, and a football stadium fight could be next for the young star.
Smith is a huge Sheffield Wednesday supporter and fighting at Hillsborough, the home of the Championship side, is part of the long-term plan for Smith
"With all due respect to younger fighters coming through, he is the only fighter from Sheffield that is capable of hiring out that Arena," said Hearn when speaking to IFLTV.
"The fans were coming out to support him and the dream is world championship boxing in Hillsborough and this [the Arena bill] is a massive part of that process.”
