Eddie Hearn is a huge admirer of Oleksandr Usyk but he’s urging Tyson Fury to win their undisputed title clash when the first bell sounds next month.
Fury and Usyk will finally get in the ring after lengthy negotiations going back to the start of 2023 and the world will know who the best heavyweight on the planet is.
Potentially waiting for the next shot at the winner is Anthony Joshua but first he’ll have to get past Francis Ngannou when they clash in February.
Hearn is eager to see Joshua challenge Fury with undisputed glory on the line and he’s fully aware that fight can only happen if both men are victorious in their next outings.
“February 17, look, Oleksandr Usyk, I love you, but Tyson Fury, you’ve got to win this fight,” said Hearn when speaking to TNT Sports.
“We’ve got to make it happen. Good luck to both. How exciting is it for boxing that we have this path and this plan for the biggest fights in this division.”
