Will Hearn and Oscar De La Hoya finally go at it?

Eddie Hearn is open to the idea of a Five vs. Five against Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions and he’s suggested five fights that could feature on the show.

Hearn and De La Hoya have constantly taken swipes at each other recently and one way to settle their feud could be a huge show where the boxers from both companies collide inside the ring.

Earlier this year, Hearn participated in a similar concept against Frank Warren’s Queensberry, but it was a night to forget for the Matchroom boss as his team were beaten in all five contests.

The success of the show has led some in the boxing community to call for more events pitting promotional companies against each other and Hearn vs. De La Hoya could occur at some point in 2025.

After recently appearing on DAZN discussing the potential showdown, De La Hoya is eager to get the show up and running as he holds a real belief his stable is one of the best in boxing.

Hearn is also confident he has a roster of fighters who can obtain success against their Golden Boy counterparts, and he’s recently taken to social media to name a few fights that could be made.

Responding to De La Hoya’s claim that he would be open to the challenge, Hearn named five fights on X that could take place.

The five fights were

  • Jaron Ennis vs. Ryan Garcia
  • Shakur Stevenson vs. William Zepeda
  • Israil Madrimov vs. Vergil Ortiz
  • Jai Opetaia vs. Gilberto Ramirez
  • Jack Catterall vs. Jose Ramirez

If the above fights could be made, who would emerge victorious between Hearn and De La Hoya?
