Eddie Hearn believes Tyson Fury’s only option for his next fight is an immediate rematch with Oleksandr Usyk.
Hearn was ringside in Saudi Arabia as Fury lost for the first time as a professional and he thinks Fury has to jump back in with the Ukrainian and set the record straight.
Fury performed well in numerous rounds, but the bout went away from him when he was rocked bad in the ninth round before receiving a standing count.
Usyk finished stronger which allowed him to pull ahead, and Hearn has urged the former WBC champion to try and square the series.
“As much as I want AJ to fight the winner or loser of that fight, the rematch is massive,” said Hearn when speaking to Boxing Social.
“They’re both already signed up for it. I’m sure it has to be exercised by the loser, but Fury should be taking that rematch straight away. Can he beat him again? Who knows?”
