Eddie Hearn named four fighters that Edgar Berlanga could face next, as he looks to step up in quality.

Berlanga was the clear winner on Saturday night against Jason Quigley, winning via unanimous decision in New York.

Speaking after the fight, Berlanga made it clear that he wanted tougher, more aggressive opponents, name-checking both Munguia and Golovkin.

However, Matchroom head Eddie Hearn also put forward too more candidates: John Ryder, who recently lost a mandatory fight to Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez, and former super middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders, whose last fight was also against Canelo.

Speaking in the ring after the fight, Hearn said:  “Gennadiy Golovkin, Jaime Munguia, John Ryder, Billy Joe Saunders. These are the fights this guy is going to be in. There was an incredible atmosphere here tonight.

“He’s very excited, like he said, these are the guys who are going to walk him down and come forward. He’s going to be in fight of the year contenders all the time. Big future in the 168lb division, and all those guys - rack them up.”
