Dillian Whyte opened the door to a potential trilogy with Derek Chisora earlier this month by declaring his interest.
Whyte is seeking a big fight after his rematch with Anthony Joshua was postponed at the last-minute last year, and a third bout against his great rival could certainly do big business.
The pair first clashed in 2016 when Whyte had his hand raised following a brutal encounter with both fighters having their moments.
Two years later, Whyte emphatically put his mark on the series with a stunning knockout victory that would help him push on towards a world title shot.
Eddie Hearn, the promoter of both fights, has demonstrated concern for Chisora in recent years, and he’s had his say on a contest between him and Whyte.
“I don’t mind Whyte vs. Chisora as they’re both guys at the end of their career, said Hearn when speaking on The Stomping Ground.
“I don’t want to see Derek fight a young, fast heavyweight. It’s another fight like [Joe] Joyce/Chisora and that gave us a good fight.”
