Eddie Hearn doesn’t appear confident that a rematch featuring Chantelle Cameron and Katie Taylor can take place at Croke Park.
The stadium had been discussed for a possible second meeting between Taylor and Amanda Serrano, but the homecoming of Taylor instead took place at the 3Arena in Dublin.
Cameron upset the odds earlier this month when she defeated Taylor by majority decision, and it was announced by Hearn that the sequel could take place next.
With Taylor’s popularity in Ireland at an all-time high following her first professional bout there and her supporters eager to see her grab revenge against Taylor, Hearn spoke to Ariel Helwani about the possibility of staging it at the much larger Croke Park.
“I mean again it depends on timing,” said Hearn on The MMA Hour. “September's kind of the latest that you can have that fight. I think a stadium would be fun, but it was pretty good there on Saturday.
"I loved the arena, it was unbelievable. And one of the things I enjoyed most about Saturday was it was a 9,000 arena, at 6.30/6.45 we had 7,000 people in.”
