Eddie Hearn has crushed Jake Paul's dreams of becoming a world champion.
As Paul's professional boxing career has gathered pace, the internet star has not been afraid to call out some of boxing's biggest names including Mike Tyson and Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez who returns to action against Dmitry Bivol on May 7.
Speaking in a media scrum at Thursday's press conference for Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano, Hearn quickly shot down Paul's ambition to reach boxing's pinnacle.
“I think there’s absolutely no way he can beat a world champion and become world champion,” Hearn said.
“I will say he’s improving a lot, he’s dedicated to the sport. I don’t how good he is because he hasn’t faced a real fighter yet. It’s not his fault, he signed to fight Tommy Fury.”
Hearn and Paul are working as co-promoter's for Saturday's historic fight between undisputed women's lightweight champion Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano at Madison Square Garden, and the pair have made a huge million dollar bet on the result of the main event which can be seen live across the world on DAZN.
