Erickson Lubin: I can stop Jeison RosarioDAZN
The super-welterweights are due to clash this weekend

Erickson Lubin thinks he can stop former world champion Jeison Rosario when the pair meet this weekend.

The duo will fight as the co-main event as Mario Barrios fights Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis, and the 25-year-old super-welterweight is confident.

“It means everything I ever dreamed of, you know, I'm fighting Jeison Rosario, he's a big puncher, former world champion. So the stage is set. It's just my job to go out there and do what I have to do,” he told the DAZN Boxing Show.

“You know, training has been great. You know, it's actually probably my best training camp I've ever had. So I can tell you guys expected something special about me on Saturday.”

Lubin then suggested that with the styles of the pair, he could well end up winning by stoppage.

“I'm pressured at all to go ahead and go in there. And try to go for a stoppage but I feel like I play with what are two styles, you know.

“No, I could stop Rosario - our styles match each other. I feel like he's - I won't say tailor made for me - but that I like the style that he brings to the table. He comes forward and you know, those big punches so he definitely takes a lot of risk, so it'd be definitely open for some big shots.”

Returning to the theme later, Lubin was asked if Rosaria was vulnerable to body shots, and the fighter was a little coy in his answer.

“I ain't gonna give out too much of the game plan, but maybe that was just that night,” he explained.

“I want the Rosario that won them titles to go in there. That's what I'm expecting. We're gonna definitely mix it up. We got a game plan and I think we're gonna execute it real well.”
