Errol Spence Jr. is open to fighting Manny Pacquiao, if the Filipino senator returns to the ring in 2021.

Errol Spence Jr is considering his options after his win over Danny Garcia, including a potential clash with Manny Pacquiao.

The undefeated WBC and IBF champion has been linked with fights against Pacquiao, Yordenis Ugas, Keith Thurman and Shawn Porter.

The welterweight title holder told the PBC podcast: “A Porter rematch may be good. The first fight was an exciting fight. The second one would probably be like the first one.”

Spence was non-committal about a possible match-up with Thurman, but raised the possibility of fighting Ugas, saying, “He’s a real fighter. He’s a guy that would fight anybody, and he’s on a winning streak now. I like him as a fighter, and that could be a good fight.”

However he made it clear he was keen to fight Pacquiao if the Filipino politician was ready to return to the ing.

“It’s really up to Pacquiao,” he said..

“Welcome back, Errol Spence Jr. Congratulations on your victory,” said Pacquiao on Twitter in the aftermath of Spence’s win over Garcia. However Pacquiao is thought to be unwilling to get back to boxing until the senate session comes to an end in a few months' time.

His trainer Freddie Roach had previously claimed that "Pac-Man" is looking to fight once or twice in 2021 before calling time on his illiustrious career ahead of a full-time career in politics from 2022.

In such circumstances, the former eight-weight world champion would likely welcome the biggest possible send-off against elite opposition such as Spence.

The 30-year-old Spence last fought on Dec. 5 when he claimed a unanimous decision over Danny Garcia to retain his pair of world titles in Arlington, Texas. He has since been linked with a move above the 147 lb weight class, perhaps even to face current pound-for-pound king Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, who at present fights at super-middleweight and claimed the WBA, WBC and The Ring 168 lb belts by beating Callum Smith on Dec. 19.
