Errol Spence and Terence Crawford are apparently set to meet on July 29 in Las Vegas in a fight that will crown the world’s best welterweight.
The pair, linked to a fight with each other for the best part of the last five years, have seemingly agreed to a contest and it looks like the bout will happen in two months' time.
Spence hit the top end of the 147lbs division in 2017 when he travelled to Britain to stop Kell Brook for the Sheffield man’s IBF belt.
The following year, Crawford beat Jeff Horn to capture the WBO strap and he’s stopped every opponent since.
Mike Coppinger from ESPN broke the news recently that the pair will meet at the T-Mobile Arena in boxing’s capital and there’s also a rematch clause that can be activated within 30 days of the first fight.
Coppinger also mentioned that both fighters are expected to move up to 154lbs at some point in the future.
