Tony Bellew is a huge admirer of both Fabio Wardley and Frazer Clarke, and he’s struggling to make a definitive prediction for their heavyweight clash next week.
On October 12, live on DAZN , Wardley and Clarke will meet in an immediate rematch just a few months on from their epic encounter that was scored a draw.
In that fight, Clarke had to climb off the floor to rescue the fight, and the result ensured that both fighters saw their stock increase.
Speculation existed after the fight that each man would go in a different direction on their way to world level, but their rivalry continues next week and it’s a fight that has everyone in the boxing world excited.

“I’m looking forward to it. It’s a great heavyweight fight between two hungry, quality operators and it can’t fail to deliver,” said Bellew when speaking exclusively to DAZN .
On their respective paths to this prestigious position, Wardley and Clarke have both taken different routes on their way to the big stage.
Wardley came up fighting on the unlicensed circuit before sparring sessions with Dillian Whyte persuaded the world title challenger to give the Ipswich man his backing.
For Clarke, he followed a more traditional route as he enjoyed multiple amateur successes before capturing Olympic bronze at the 2020 games.
Receiving exposure on big shows since making his professional debut, Clarke has been identified as one of British boxing’s best hopes and he can justify that hype by defeating Wardley.
“The rise of both has been great to watch as they’ve both done it their own way,” said Bellew. “Boxing is about taking your chances and these two have both done that with the opportunities they’ve been given and here they are fighting on a huge show with so much at stake.”

A big supporter of both competitors, Bellew, like he believed before the first contest, thinks there’ll be nothing between them again.
“It’s hard to make a prediction and be really confident backing it. I’m a big supporter of both fighters and I wish them all the best. I think they’ll both give it everything, and whoever comes out on top will have earned it the hard way and be on his way to world level against the biggest names in the division."
