One fighter has high hopes for himself.

Hamzah Sheeraz has to focus on Tyler Denny for the time being, but that hasn't stopped him from targeting a showdown with Chris Eubank Jr.

Sheeraz and Denny both impressed in their last fights when defeating Austin Williams and Felix Cash, respectively, and they clash for Denny’s European belt on September 21.

The pair make up a huge bill at Wembley Stadium where Anthony Joshua will face Daniel Dubois and it’s another chance for Sheeraz to stake his claim for a fight with Eubank.

The Brighton man is currently linked to a bout with Canelo Alvarez, but that hasn't stopped Sheeraz from pursuing him.

"That [Eubank] fight was meant to happen, it didn't happen,” said Sheeraz when speaking to Sky Sports about his domestic rival.

“I've got to get over Tyler Denny for it once again to become a reality. [While Eubank's] chilling with his feet up, I'll be putting in the work and chasing that fight down.

"He is the bigger name and I'm under no illusion of that, but in about two or three fights I reckon I'll be a bigger name than Chris Eubank Jr."
