Fighter explains how Ukraine war inspires him ahead of world title fightEd Mullholland/Matchroom
There's a world title up for grabs soon.

Serhii Bohachuk is inspired by his country to defeat Sebastian Fundora at the end of the month.

The Ukrainian fights Fundora for the vacant WBC light middleweight championship on March 30, live on Amazon Prime in the US (click here for details).

The fighter's compatriot, Oleksandr Usyk, fights live on DAZN PPV on May 18 against Tyson Fury for the undisputed heavyweight title.

Bohachuk’s brother is currently fighting in his homeland after the Russian invasion, and the fighter is hoping to win for his country.

“My motivation is my country,” he told Boxing Scene.

“Because my country [is] at war. I need to win, I need to support my country. It motivated [me].”

He continued: “There are a lot of civilian people that [have] died.

“Kids, girls, a lot of people have died. It is a very bad situation. In my country, it is a bad situation – it is very dangerous.

“My motivation is my people back in Ukraine. I want to support my country. I want to show everyone, I want to show the world that Ukraine is a strong country.

“Win the war, win the fight. I need motivation, I need to win.”

Live on DAZN: Haney vs. Garcia on April 20.  Click here for details .
