Floyd Mayweather has offered advice to one fighter.

David Benavidez is eager to test himself against the world’s best super-middleweights, most notably Canelo Alvarez, but it looks like his next fight could be at 175lbs.

Benavidez is speculated to be facing Oleksandr Gvozdyk later this year and he’s been given some valuable advice from Floyd Mayweather.

Benavidez has gone about his business in an impressive manner and the unbeaten star is on the verge of becoming a major fighter.

Mayweather, once the face of boxing, had to endure years of frustration before breaking out, and he’s fully aware of the situation Benavidez currently finds himself in.

“If David Benavidez keeps beating fighter after fighter, and champion after champion, eventually he’ll be the man,” said Mayweather when speaking to FightHype.
