A leading trainer thinks one fighter can go far.

Robert McCracken has experience of guiding fighters to gold medals at the Olympic Games and he’ll be hoping to add more to his collection this summer.

The world-renowned boxing coach has hit big heights in both boxing codes and Delicious Orie is being tipped to be his next amateur success.

Orie will carry Britain’s hopes in the super-heavyweight division in Paris and McCracken has identified similarities with Anthony Joshua.

McCracken oversaw Joshua’s career for many years, and he’s compared his latest super-heavyweight to the former two-time world champion.

“They are different boxers and different people,” said McCracken when speaking to Yahoo Sport

“But much like back in 2012 with Joshua, he has lots of potential and it will be interesting to see his journey after the Olympics as he moves forward.

“Hopefully, he will do just as well as Joshua did. He (Orie) is a talented boxer, very driven and determined, and boxed tremendously well at the qualifier.”
