Zab Judah enjoyed an illustrious career as he captured world titles in two weight divisions and shared the ring with a number of quality operators.

Judah’s lengthy list of achievements have ensured him a solid legacy since walking away from the sport of boxing and he’s now revealed that Mike Tyson told him what he’d accomplish when he was only eight years old.

Judah was at the side of Tyson throughout the late 1990s and into the new millennium as the legendary heavyweight looked to regain his world crown.

As well as being a part of some of Tyson’s biggest nights, Judah also featured in many of his own as he faced several greats including Floyd Mayweather, Kostya Tszyu and Miguel Cotto.

“My dad was a fighter and Mike Tyson was the champ of our neighbourhood, we lived in the same neighbourhood,” said Judah when speaking with OLBG

“Long story short I was about eight years old, and I woke up one morning and Tyson was standing in our living room.

“My father invited him to house and told him 'My boys are going to be fighters'. I had a stutter when I was younger but managed to tell Mike that I'm going to be champ of the world, and he told me 'I believe you, just keep working hard'. For him to tell me that, that's all I needed to hear.”
