Otto Wallin has expressed his disgust at the idea of a third Tyson Fury vs. Derek Chisora fight and has urged the current WBC heavyweight champion to instead face him in a rematch. Fury’s next move is undecided as he still insists he’s retired but in recent days, but the unbeaten fighter has been linked to a trilogy meeting with Chisora.
In 2011, Fury became the first man to defeat Chisora when he outpointed his domestic rival at Wembley Arena. The pair fought again three years later but the result went Fury’s way again when Chisora remained on his stool at the end of the tenth round. The dominance displayed by Fury has caused Wallin to comment on the speculation.
"I deserved it with my performance in the first fight,” said Wallin, who lost on points to Fury in 2019, to Lordping.
“I landed more punches on Fury than anybody has in his whole career. I cut him badly in two places and the fight could have easily been stopped.
“When I fought Fury, I had never been on that level before, and I had only fought one round in 18 months prior to that fight. Now I’ve gained experience in fighting Fury and winning four other fights after that.”
Wallin added, “I’m a better fighter now than what I was in 2019. It’s simply not a competitive fight [between Fury and Chisora]. Fury has already beaten Chisora twice and once stopped him. You can’t compare my fight with Fury with Chisora’s two fights."
