The two are set to meet for a second time later this year.

With a date for the undisputed heavyweight title rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury set, the anticipation is already starting to build.

In a post on X by Turki Alalshikh, it has been confirmed that Usyk and Fury will meet on December 21, in Riyadh.

The two heavyweights met for all four world heavyweight titles on May 18 in what was a thrilling encounter.

Despite Fury looking comfortable in the first half of the fight, Usyk asserted control and dominated the rest of the contest and was close to stopping the British fighter in round nine.

The Ukrainian was declared the winner on two of the judges' scorecards and is now a two-weight undisputed champion.

Fury has already begun his preparations for the second meeting with Usyk after posting a video of himself training, and Otto Wallin, who fought the former WBC heavyweight champion five years ago, has made his prediction for the rematch.

"It’s tough to say. I think that Fury looked really good in that fight, he looked his best, and the same with Usyk so it will be interesting. I think both guys will learn from it and probably get better," Wallin told Seconds Out

"If Fury didn’t get hurt like that I think he would have won the fight but he did get hurt and Usyk did it and he deserved it so there’s not much you can say about it.

"[The rematch will be] maybe more of the same, Fury targeting the body of Usyk more, that was working for him. It will be really interesting to see the rematch. This fight was close, Usyk won by one point, so the fight could go either way.”

Wallin was then asked to pick a winner and responded with the following.

"You know what, I want to say Fury again.”
