Kali Reis’ role as Evangeline Navarro in this year’s True Detective – Night Country has earned the former world champion the respect of her peers.
Reis’ stunning performance alongside Hollywood legend, Jodie Foster, saw the pair put their character’s problems behind them as they looked to solve multiple murders in Alaska.
The show was a brilliant return to form for the HBO special as recent seasons have dropped significantly in quality since the maiden series back in 2014.
Reis played a huge part in that success and her quality throughout has seen her receive an Emmy nomination.
Reis’ time in boxing was largely successful as the Rhode Island fighter hit the summit of the sport with wins against Kandi Wyatt and Jessica Camara.
Reis, inactive as a fighter since 2021, may still wish to pursue fighting honours but it appears that the big screen could be her next big challenge.
