Francis Ngannou will have his second professional boxing contest in March when he faces Anthony Joshua in Saudi Arabia.
Mike Tyson, a fighter who Ngannou hugely admires, was a vital part of the former UFC superstar's team on his debut against Tyson Fury and it’s expected that the former heavyweight ruler will help prepare Ngannou this time around too.
Ngannou almost caused one of the biggest shocks in sporting history last October when he dropped Fury before losing a controversial split decision verdict.
Dewey Cooper, another member of Ngannou’s training set-up, has recently spoken about Ngannou’s upcoming clash and he believes Tyson will be on hand to assist.
“Whatever way Francis wants Mike Tyson to be involved he will be,” said Cooper when speaking to talkSPORT.
“I love Mike, we go back way before any of this Francis Ngannou–UFC stuff was happening anyway.
“So, I hope he will come through like he did last time and keep implementing his mentality and technique. I’m sure he will, but either way, [Ngannou] is going to be prepared and ready to go against Anthony Joshua.”
