'That is going to be pushed back!' - Frank Warren confirms 5v5 postponement amid Daniel Dubois chatterMark Robinson/Matchroom Boxing
The IBF heavyweight world champion won't be on the bill for the next head-to-head card between Queensberry and Matchroom.

Frank Warren has confirmed that Daniel Dubois will not fight on a Queensberry vs Matchroom 5v5 card in his next fight, but promises the next such event will deliver on DAZN.

The Queensberry Promotions boss saw his man score a famous victory over Anthony Joshua as part of Riyadh Season's Wembley Edition in London in September.

Hopes for an immediate rematch now appear to be off the table, with Dubois instead likely to face another heavyweight ahead of a potential all-British bout with Fabio Wardley.

It had been mooted that Dubois would fight on the next iteration of the 5v5 event - but while Warren has ruled that out, he has promised plenty of spectacle when it does return.

"It won’t be a 5v5 [for Daniel]," he told iFLTV. "That is going to be pushed back, but it is going to be a great card. I am looking forward to the 5v5.

"Especially now that we are all under the same umbrella, it is going to be easy [to arrange]. We can do them in Riyadh, where they originated from.

"Or we might do one here. Who knows? You can do them at different levels now, I am really looking forward to it."

Warren and Queensberry struck a media rights agreement with DAZN earlier this month, with exclusive fight cards to be shown on the sports platform from April 2025.

It means that both he and Eddie Hearn's Matchroom are now under the broadcast coverage of the international streaming service, theoretically easing the path to more blockbuster fights.
