Frank Warren discloses Tyson Fury's advice to Joseph Parker ahead of Deontay Wilder fight

Joseph Parker is preparing for one of the biggest fights of his career.

Promoter Frank Warren has revealed the advice WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has given to his training partner Joseph Parker ahead of his clash with former world champion Deontay Wilder on Saturday live on DAZN PPV

After losing to Joe Joyce last year, Parker has strung together three successive wins and now finds himself on the brink of a world title shot.

Standing in his way is the heavyweight division's hardest hitter, Deontay Wilder, who returns to the ring 14 months after his last outing against Robert Helenius.

If this fight took place a couple of years earlier, Wilder would be considered a huge favourite, but some are giving Parker a decent chance of producing an upset.

One advantage Parker does have is that he trains with Fury who has beaten Wilder twice and he has given a crucial piece of advice to the New Zealander according to Warren.

“Joe Parker trains with Tyson. So, Tyson will, obviously, be giving him a lot of tips on how he thinks he should deal with Wilder," Warren told talkSPORT

“One of them was, ‘Don’t get hit for 36 minutes’ because he’s such a big puncher.”

You can watch the Day of Reckoning, featuring Anthony Joshua vs. Otto Wallin, Deontay Wilder vs. Joseph Parker and Daniel Dubois vs. Jarrell Miller, on DAZN PPV on Saturday, December 23. Click here for more details.
