Frank Warren holds certain expectations from officials for upcoming major fightDAZN
A big fight goes down next month.

Frank Warren knows what it feels like to have a fighter go up against Oleksandr Usyk and he’ll experience that feeling again next month.

The Hall of Fame promoter is guiding Tyson Fury towards an undisputed title and he’s eager to have a strong referee when the heavyweights clash on May 18.

Last year, Daniel Dubois, another Warren fighter, travelled to Poland to face Usyk but he was stopped for the second time in his career.

A big talking point from the fight saw Usyk hit the canvas, but the bout’s third man said it was a low blow and allowed the Ukrainian plenty of time to recover.

“We want to get all these things done. We want no controversy. We want somebody in there who everybody respects and will be very, very strong,” said Warren when speaking to Sky Sports

“The last referee was just a joke. Completely ridiculous the whole thing. Whether it was a low blow or not, the time he gave him and then, when he wanted to fight, he said ‘no, take more time out’.”
