Frank Warren is keen to set up an Anthony Joshua vs. Daniel Dubois clash.
Joshua most recently fought earlier this month, when he took on Francis Ngannou and won with a second-round knockout.
Dubois took on Jarrell Miller on the same card and emerged a late winner via stoppage, and neither fighter has their next event lined up.
Joshua - and potentially Dubois - may be waiting for the outcome of Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk on May 18, when the pair fight to decide the undisputed heavyweight champion on DAZN PPV .
Speaking to Sky Sports , Warren suggested that if the pair have nothing on the horizon, an all-British affair would be worth their attention.
"Daniel, at the moment we're negotiating a fight. I can't go into the details but it's going to be a very meaningful fight - a very meaningful fight for him," Warren said.
"I'd love to see that fight. An all British affair, there's nothing like one of those for us over here. I'd love to see that."
