Frank Warren expects to finalise an agreement between Tommy Fury and Jake Paul within a week.
The pair had been expected to fight last year but a broken rib and bacterial chest infection forced Fury to withdraw, and a rescheduled fight for 2022 was abandoned when Fury was unable to enter the United States due to visa problems.
It is not clear if Fury is able to travel to the States yet, but Paul has said he is willing to fight in England in order to finally make a date work.
This Tuesday on Twitter, Paul issued an ultimatum, stating that a contract would need to be signed within seven days or the fight would be off for good.
Speaking to talkSPORT, Warren told the radio station that he was optimistic about an agreement.
“It will probably be in late February or March,” he said. “The reason why it didn’t go [before], the contracts were all signed, because of the problems he had with the US immigration.
“We are all past that now. Jake is up for coming over here and we have to get the deal finalised in the next week or so.”
Fury fought against Rolly Lambert on Saturday after missing weight in Dubai for a planned clash against Paul Bamba.
With Lambert stepping in at late notice, the clash was an exhibition and does not count towards Fury’s unbeaten record.
Paul beat MMA fighter Anderson Silva last month.
