Frazer Clarke and Fabio Wardley will battle it out for British title honours this weekend, and the former doesnt think this will be the only meeting of their careers.
Domestic bragging rights are up for grabs as Clarke faces the toughest test of his career as he looks to grab the Lonsdale belt that has been held by many great fighters before him.
Victory for wither man is guaranteed to propel them up the heavyweight rankings and although one man will get their quicker than the other with a win, Clarke expects both him and Wardley to reach the top.
The 2020 Olympian has hardly been tested as a professional, and although he expects to be successful on Easter Sunday, he’s fully aware of how good his upcoming opponent is.
“I believe I win the fight, but I believe Fabio has a massive future in this division,” said Clarke when speaking to Metro.
“I also believe that this is just the start of me and Fabio. Neither of us are going anywhere. Eventually we will get to fighting each other for a world title in this country, whether it’s in two, three, four years, whatever.
“I beat him on Sunday, but he is made of the right stuff, and he’ll come back. We will be seeing each other again.”
