Frazer Clarke raised his profile recently when trying to win the British title from Fabio Wardley in a stunning battle.
The bout, which saw Clarke go down and lose a point for a low blow, ended in a draw meaning that Wardley kept his belt.
The victor in this bout had been earmarked to move up several levels, but it appears a rematch is probably the best bet for both men due to how well received the first contest was.
Clarke has aspirations to reach the business end of the heavyweight division, but he’s admitted he’s not ready for the best fighters in the division at this moment.
"I think we need to look a little bit below, I think there are a few levels we have to go through first,” said Clarke when speaking to talkSPORT.
"I'm sure with that fight we will have both improved and learned a lot and put us a little bit closer to the names everyone wants to see us fight.
"But first we need to decide who is the best between me and Fabio, so we need to get it back on.”
