If Canelo Alvarez is strictly a super-middleweight from here on out, Eddie Hearn believes Gennadiy Golovkin can still achieve plenty without a trilogy fight.

It appears that Gennadiy Golovkin's only hopes of getting a chance at revenge vs. Canelo Alvarez in a third fight between the two would be if he stepped up from middleweight to super-middleweight, which is where the Mexican star now calls home.

However, Eddie Hearn, who has worked with both men in the past, believes there is plenty of potential in middleweight unification fights should the Kazakhstan fighter opt to remain in the 160-pound division.

During an appearance on the 'Ak and Barak Show' (on DAZN and Sirius XM Fight Nation), Matchroom Boxing chief Hearn says he will be looking to make a match-up between Golovkin and the undefeated and avoided WBO middleweight champ Demetrius Andrade should Canelo Alvarez fights and gets past Avni Yildirim and move onto a clash against WBO titlist Billy Joe Saunders.

"That's a unification fight," Hearn told Ak and Barak. "I mean, how long have we been searching for that standout fight for Demetrius Andrade?

"Ultimately, there's Jaime Munguia as well, which is a great fight, but Triple G should be looking to unify the division. Golovkin, like Canelo, if they don't get that fight, they should be looking to face the rest of the champions.

Andrade (29-0, 18 KOs) hasn't fought since halting Ireland's Luke Keeler in round nine of their title fight in January. "Boo Boo" has also experienced his frustrations in seeking out a big-name opponent currently at super middleweight in the form of Saunders.

"Demetrius Andrade is avoided, and I'll be saying to DAZN: 'listen, we have a contract with Andrade, you have a contract with Golovkin, let's put these guys together'," Hearn said. "They're both world middleweight champions, and it's a really, really good and intriguing fight. So, let's make the fight."

Golovkin (41-1-1, 36 KOs) recently made his 21st defense of a world middleweight championship, setting a new record, when he forced previously-unbeaten Polish fighter Kamil Szeremeta to retire from their mandatory title fight after seven rounds in Florida.

"GGG" will turn 39 next year, and opportunities for huge fights are growing increasingly limited. If a trilogy vs. Canelo remains elusive, it seems that he and Andrade could indeed help solve each other's problems as two of the most avoided competitors in the sport today.
