Errol Spence has urged Frank Martin to stay focused as he gets ready for the biggest fight of his career against Gervonta Davis this weekend.
Martin will be looking to maintain his unbeaten record against the Baltimore man and this bout is by far the biggest of his career so far.
Davis, the defending world champion at lightweight, is no stranger to the big stage after featuring in last year’s epic clash against Ryan Garcia.
Davis was able to get the job done that night and Spence believes that ‘Tank’ is trying to use that experience in the build-up.
“(Martin) just got to be focused, got to be on point, and he can’t let Tank get under his skin because that’s what he’s been doing,” said Spence when speaking to Fight Hub TV.
“They’ve been talking a lot and trying to get under his skin, trying to rattle him ‘cause he know Frank ain’t been on this type of stage before so he’s trying to show him up, let him know that he’s the big dog.”
