The two-weight world champion could be in some serious trouble.

WBA lightweight and super-featherweight champion Gervonta 'Tank' Davis has been indicted by a grand jury on 14 separate counts of traffic violations.

The charges all stem from the one incident on Nov. 5 of last year, where Davis, whose last fight came days prior to that when he knocked out Leo Santa Cruz on Halloween night at the Alamodome, was accused of a hit-and-run.

WMAR Baltimore reports that the charges include driving on a revoked license and failure to remain at the scene of an accident involving bodily injury.

The report states: "According to court documents, on November 5, 2020 at about 1:55 a.m., Baltimore City police officers responded to the unit block of Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and Washington Boulevard in Baltimore City for a two vehicle collision between a 2020 Lamborghini Uris and a 2004 Toyota Solara.

"At 1:47 a.m., the red light camera located at Martin Luther King, Jr. (MLK) Boulevard and 700 Washington Boulevard showed the Lamborghini traveling southbound on MLK when the vehicle ran a red light and hit the front passenger side of the Toyota Solara traveling westbound on Washington Blvd.

"The video captured from a nearby convenience store showed the Lamborghini collide directly into the store’s fence and the driver, was allegedly identified by witnesses as Gervonta Davis."

Davis has been linked with a return to the ring this spring or summer against unbeaten super-lightweight Mario Barrios, but if he is convicted on all 14 charges he could face a sentence of up to seven years and 55 days in prison.
