Gilberto ‘Zurdo’ Ramirez: I'll take the soul of every light heavyweight championGolden Boy Promotions
The former super middleweight is looking to kick on at 175lbs

Gilberto ‘Zurdo’ Ramirez stopped experienced Sullivan Barrera in his Golden Boy debut and claimed he was going to claim the soul of each 175lb champion.

Ramirez is gunning for the light heavyweight undisputed title, going by his outburst after his comfortable victory that sent Barrera to the canvas three times from a string of brutal body shots.

Ramirez has an aggressive fighting style under his trainer Julian Chua, and after delivering his first knockdown blow in the third round, he was consistently powerful and vicious.

Speaking after the win, the 30-year-old Ramirez said he had performed according to his gameplan.

"I think my performance was great," he explained.

"I was training for the body shot. And I think it was beautiful.

WAt 175 pounds, everyone saw a better Zurdo Ramirez. This is my division. I'm going to take the souls of all the champions in the 175-pound division."
