Hasim Rahman Jr is not confident his fight with Jake Paul can be arranged.

The American heavyweight was due to fight Paul in August, however, the fight got cancelled due to weight issues.

Now Rahman Jr is preparing to face Vitor Belfort in next week's MF & DAZN: X Series and when speaking exclusively to The DAZN Boxing Show, he was quick to dimiss any possibility of a fight with Paul happening in the future.

"In all honesty I think Jake Paul was trying to catch me coming off my first loss," Rahman Jr claimed.

"Yeah, he tried to weight drain me down to 200lbs, now he knows that I’m within striking distance of that weight, I don’t think he’ll ever re-visit that opportunity.

"That’s what they told me before when I had that small window of opportunity to sign for that fight.

"If it doesn’t make dollars, it doesn’t make sense, I’m always here for the money fights, but I started this career of mine to become a world champion."

Paul made his first in-ring appearance of 2022 last month when he beat MMA legend Anderson Silva via a unanimous decision in Glendale, Arizona.
