Hearn: Anthony Joshua certain to fight Oleksandr Usyk if Tyson Fury deal falls throughDAZN
Joshua is certain to fight mandatory challenger Usyk if a deal cannot be reached with WBC heavyweight champion Fury, according to Joshua's manager Eddie Hearn.

Eddie Hearn says Anthony Joshua would "one million per cent" take on Oleksandr Usyk if a fight with Tyson Fury falls through.

Fury and Joshua are pencilled in to fight in April 2021 after their upcoming bouts, with a rematch also expected to take place in the same year.

Usyk defeated Dereck Chisora on Saturday night in order to maintain his position as the mandatory challenger for Joshua’s WBO belt. However, both Joshua and Hearn have previously hinted that he could vacate the belt to ensure his fights with Fury can be arranged.

Joshua’s next fight is against Kubrat Pulev on 12 December as a mandatory defence of the Briton’s IBF title. Meanwhile, Fury is set to fight on 5 December, with Agit Kabayel now expected to be his opponent, according to the WBC heavyweight’s co-promoter Bob Arum.

The Sun newspaper reports Hearn as saying that: “AJ wants to fight Usyk.

“It’s all business, money is important to them but Usyk wants a heavyweight world title.

“If we can’t make the Fury fight and AJ beats Pulev, he is fighting Usyk one million per cent.”

Assuming both Fury and Joshua win their respective next fights, one potential obstacle could be Deontay Wilder’s renewed attempts to push through a trilogy rematch with Fury.

He has recently claimed that Fury had cheated during their most recent fight, after the Englishman had said he was "moving on" from the agreement in place with the Bronze Bomber.

Meanwhile, Ukranian boxer Usyk has made it clear to Joshua what he expects as the still mandatory challenger.

"I am the mandatory for Joshua so he has two options," he told Sky Sports.

"One; to fight me. Two; to vacate and to go and fight Fury.

"Either he fights me or relinquishes. I am waiting. I am ready."

After unifying the cruiserweight division before moving up a class, Usyk said his aim was to be, "not just world champion, the undisputed world champion."
