Frazer Clarke has provided Oleksandr Usyk with some advice as he prepares to get ready to face Daniel Dubois next month.
Usyk begins the fight a significant favourite as he looks to preserve his unbeaten record and then target a fight with Tyson Fury, but Clarke believes the Ukrainian has to be wary of Dubois’ power.
The Englishman enters the fight in patchy form after nearly losing his WBA regular belt to Kevin Lerena at the backend of 2022.
Since losing to Joe Joyce in 2020, questions still surround Dubois and his ability to compete at the highest level but Clarke, an Olympic medallist, believes that Usyk will have to give Dubois his full attention.
“He has the punch power. He has the punch power. It only takes one shot,” said Clarke when speaking to Pro Boxing Fans.
“Skills, he and Usyk are in different stratospheres, but it’s a fight, let’s strip it all back, it’s two men in a ring punching each other. If he catches him right, Daniel can put him to sleep.”
