Jermaine Franklin is perhaps the most qualified person to offer a verdict on the upcoming clash between Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte on August 12.

The American heavyweight went 12 rounds with Whyte last November before narrowly losing on points, before enduring the same result against Joshua earlier this year.

Joshua and Whyte are renewing hostilities nearly eight years after their first brutal battle and the road back for the loser will be a long and hard one.

Many are expecting another classic encounter due to their lengthy rivalry and Franklin, the man who knows both fighters extremely well, is confident on who emerges victorious.

“I think Joshua will beat Whyte. I don’t think it’ll be a hard fight for Joshua,” said Franklin when speaking to IFL TV.

“It was a little harder for Joshua to punch me cause it’s harder for bigger guys to punch down than it is for shorter guys to punch up, but you know when you’re taller, some of those shots are easier to get off. Yeah, I think beats Dillian.”
