Can a Stevenson-Zepeda clash be made?

William Zepeda chewed through Maxi Hughes with another buzzsaw-like performance Saturday night and made it clear that he's ready for the likes of Gervonta Davis and Shakur Stevenson.

His promoter, Oscar De La Hoya, added to DAZN's Chris Mannix: "Shakur, if you're watching, let's get it on! Let's go."

Well, it turns out Stevenson was indeed paying attention as the fellow undefeated boxer took to his X account and gladly accepted the challenge.

Stevenson (21-0, 10 KOs) is the reigning WBC lightweight world champion and a clash with Zepeda (30-0, 26 KOs) would present the Newark, New Jersey product with the challenge of using his superior sweet science skills to try to curb the Mexican's incessant power surge.

Zepeda uncorked 408 punches in ripping through Hughes, landing 161 of them, for a 40 percent clip.

Aside from Stevenson and Davis, Zepeda's camp would also welcome a fight with the winner of the upcoming Vasiliy Lomachenko-George Kambosos bout.

"That would be a terrific, terrific fight," De La Hoya added, "but William Zepeda is ready for anybody."
